About this event:

Our joint event is an opportunity for you to share your current business challenges, so that your Local Employability Partnership and Business Support Partnership are best placed to offer you joined up support in the future.

Our role at Flexibility Works is to provide a practical deep dive into the topic of flexible working –  helping you to explore how you might fully embrace this in your business.

Businesses are facing a variety of challenges this year, including skills shortage and recruitment challenges, the cost of living crisis and the economic impact of Brexit.  The rise in demand for flexible working is also a key strategic priority and one of the biggest cultural shifts to face employers in 2023.  At the moment in Scotland, 82% of people have or want flexible working.

If recruiting and retaining employees is a priority for your business you probably already realise the importance of offering flexible working.  63% of Scottish business leaders say flexible working has a positive impact on their business.

At this event you will get:

  1. To meet the key players in the Local Employability Partnership and Clackmannanshire Business Support Partnership and have the opportunity to share your key business challenges with them so they can identify further ways they can support you in a joined up way in the future.
  2. Access to our latest data and research findings on what flexible working looks like in Scotland, including the current demand for flexibility among workers, and the difference it can make to businesses, in particular during recruitment.
  3. Real stories and practical suggestions from local employers about how their businesses have implemented new ways of working which give their people a good work life balance while still meeting business demands.
  4. Meet with local business owners to network and share your business challenges and solutions, particularly focusing on retaining and recruiting staff.
